This series of live concerts will celebrate the enormous diversity of the Berlin music scene and the universal language of art to raise voice for social change, empathy and understanding. Orient Brut - Multi-instrumentalist Ghazi Barakat and Trumpeter Phillip Selalmazidis improvise on different variations of a belly dance beat and arabesques, which are virtuously reconstructed through electronic manipulation. Elaborated by Ricardo Talaia’s skillfull weaving of vocal excerpts from the same record into a multiplicity of soundscapes. Orient Brut creates a hypnotic and science fictional sound collage through their skilled fusion of acoustic instrumentation and electronic reconstruction of revolutionary records.

This is a new season of the branded live-concert series at the “Hotel Continental - Art Space in Exile” in a partnership with «Musicians Defend Ukraine» and «Monday Kitchen».
LOBBY is a biweekly recurring Thursday night concert attended by abroad and diverse audience. This will be a new layer of collaboration, promising an exciting cultural experience.

KOKA
KOKA is the solo project of artist Dora Koka.
Born and partly raised in Albania, the Berlin-based musician left behind an active Architecture-career to solely focus on her music: a 90s-inspired blend of ethereal electronic, alt-pop and emotional songwriting.
Embellished with a contrast of delicate to energetic melodies and hypersensitivity, her music is a vessel of personal expression and healing. It transcends the boundaries of modern-day pop with its edgy twists.

The Sun Alley Shivers unleash a classic mix of 1960's blues and rock 'n' roll in their live shows. With powerful vocals and passionate lead guitar, this Berlin-based band pays homage to the roots of the genres while infusing their own signature style.

Nate Bernardini
Nate Bernardini (US) is a Berlin-based songwriter who's been performing internationally for over 20 years. In addition to his solo project, he writes and performs with The Hidden Keys. His songs follow an indie folk/blues style that combine rhythm guitar, harmonica, vocals, beat boxing, whistling and mouth trumpet. When performing live, he intertwines his songs with storytelling to paint an ever-changing picture of western society and the complex human condition.
To find a balance between life’s bitter-sweet moments, he writes joyful songs about the world’s problems. By fusing drama together with humor, he hopes to make controversial subjects easier to discuss and work out in society. His main focus is on the music's impact and the song’s ability to change the world for the better.

“THE WALL” PREMIERE
Long awaited, finally happening: The “Making-Of” of the mural “The Flower of Democracy”, the Berlin edition of a cross-european Art Project organised by Port.Agency, Kyiv.
Last autumn one of the blank walls of Hotel Continental became the canvas for a truly visionary art experiment, a cooperation between berlin-based artist Dennis Schuster and Ukrainian artist Andrii Kalkov, creating together the “Flower of Democracy”.
A week of intense work was captured by the cameras of Moritz Erdt and Ryan Aponte from the “Film Makers and Movie Nerds”

Warm and melancholic sounds brought to you by Lara Linn (Jazz & Pop vocalist from Hamburg) and Max Jansen (Jazz pianist from Berlin).
The duo combines covers and own songs inspired by artists such as YEBBA and ÄTNA.

Bad Sasha
Bad Sasha is a Ukrainian artist, born in Kyiv. She's been actively presenting her creative work, as a vocalist, producer, author of music and lyrics. Her earlier presence includes performances with a capella ensemble "United People" in festivals such as Leopolis Jazz festival "Gimme 5" with Bobby McFerrin, Vocal Total - Graz, Austria, Chinese international choir festival - Beijing, X-Factor Ukraine and others. She was an actress in the Wild Theatre (Kyiv) and actress in movies and series in Ukraine. Her debut single "So Be It" made the iTunes Top Daily and Top-10 of foreign releases on the National Serbian Radio. Done as a collaborative work, with the creative team - Ninković Aleksandra aka. Apsolutiram (Belgrade, Serbia) songwriter-lyricist, Pavlos Karmis aka. Paul Blackstone (Bamberg, Germany) - mixing and mastering. In 2020 Bad Sasha was included in the list of the best young musicians of Ukraine created by the Ukrainian Institute.
Bad Sasha integrates old-fashioned mood with youthful energy. Inspired by R'n'B from the end of 50's, rebellious energy of punk transpiring decades after, standards of soul, grunge, hip-hop, she merges genres and vocal techniques as she creates her own style of pop music. In addition to that, although essentially playful - lyrics are fully complementary in their substance, advocating for spiritual freedom, personal evolution and empowerment, and a sense of childlike wonder that keeps us connected to all life.

Ratmir Bilodid & Pavlo Halchenko
Ratmir Bilodid is an artist, performer, and music composer from Kyiv, Ukraine. He studied Jazz guitar in Gliere Music College.
In 2014 he released a post rock, dream pop EP album “Exponate”. In 2021 he released a dramatic ambient soundtrack album “Happy Father’s Day!”. In 2022 the ambient track “We U No U'' together with a music video was released on the label ШЩЦ in a fundraising compilation for ukrainians. In the second half of 2022 he released two singles “Whatever We Call It” & “When You Land” and in the beginning of this year, the third single “How Long?” was released together with a music video.
Pavlo Halchenko is a new-jazz composer and trumpet player from Kyiv, founder of TREBA band and organizer of charity jazz events in Kyiv.

My name is Alina, but some of you already might know me as vogel milch, I’m a full time musician, i play music, I tell stories, most of my songs are like a shortened version of a big chapters of my life, they mean a lot for me, and I’m sure that many found themselves in a similar scenario development, so I really love to feel the connection between, I believe we are all really empathetic and music is the best way of sharing feelings for me
ESTHER THOBEN TRIO
The Esther Thoben Trio is a Hamburg-based band, whose extraordinary line-up is at home in different musical styles. The musicians play their favourite jazz standards, some beautiful ballads, but also groovy tunes are to be found in their repertoire.
In every setting the Trio impresses with its unmistakable sound of cello, guitar and drums. The blend of the radiant sound of the cello, the soft sound of the guitar and the quiet rhythmic accompaniment of the drums creates a unique atmosphere.
The band consists of Esther Thoben (cello), Niklas Stadler (guitar) and Bastian Menz (drums). The three musicians got to know each other during their studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and have become a musical and humanly experienced group since.

Axxi Oma is a ukrainian indie singer and songwriter. Through each song she expresses a very specious feeling, thought, doesn't matter whether you understand her lyrics or not.
Her acoustic programm has a very dark and chill mood.
Axxi Oma also plays live music in the Theaterplay „InBetweenFires“.
Maryana Golovko & Max Smogol
Max Smogol
From an early age he was fond of music. At the age of 8, he started playing the guitar. In the 8th grade of the school, he created his first punk rock band. After graduation from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute he took part in a huge number of musical projects as a guitarist, vocalist, arranger and sound producer. n 2008, he started working as a composer at the recording studio “Baker Street Sound Production” in Kyiv. During his work, he created a large amount of music for various advertising, music, TV and film projects .
Maryana Golovko
Professional singer from Ukraine with a wide range of genres in the repertoire - from academic and opera to jazz and experimental music.
From 2014 to the present, Mariana is part of the NOVA OPERA project where she performs leading parts in the operas by IYOV, Babylon, Ark, Coriolan, Wozzeck, GAZ, etc. Among this, Maryana is a well known to ukrainian audience by her JAZZ performances and own author project SUOK.
For more than 10 years, the musicians have collaborated in the field of film and music production in Kyiv at the studio. But after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they inadvertently met in Berlin and created a duet. They are currently preparing their first joint album for release

Philip Calisto & Iga Kumka
Philip Domenico Calisto, born in Lombardy and raised in Berlin, is a multi-instrumentalist, (media) composer and producer.
He enjoyed classical piano training at a young age, and in the course of his youth added electric bass, drums and the "computer" as instruments.
His musical identity lies somewhere between neoclassical, reggae and "bass-heavy head-nodding beats".
He has already performed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra at the Philharmonie, under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle as a chorister, won several band competitions with his band "Rabajah" and worked for the first time in 2021 with ARD and ARTE as a film composer.
In summer 2022 he finished his film & theater composition studies at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands, with an interdisciplinary music theater piece.
Currently, he is working together with Iga Kumka.
Iga Kumka is a polish jazz and pop vocalist and songwriter. She is experimenting with multiple genres, but the music she creates is mostly pop, influenced by jazz, hip-hop, and ethnic music. Right now, she is in the middle of recording her sponsored debut EP. Just one of many artistic projects she pursues at the moment. Among other, she is performing with Philip Calisto as a "neoclassical-pop" vocal-piano duo, with their original compositions.

Women make up almost 50% of the world's population and yet it is so easy to forget women while making decisions about what they can do with their body, life, career, HAIR, and love. Why is this so ingrained in our traditions? Where is this uterus-envy coming from (what would Freud say ;))?
Why is it so easy to forget women and make decisions about/for them?Join us on November 3rd to hear stories from Indian mythology and folk stories where forgetting women was so easy, so comically easy, but the women did not let them. We will tell you stories about queens that were blinded by the king, a woman bet and lost, a Princess spy, and more.
Varsha Venkatesh is a storyteller who loves telling stories of mythology by breaking apart the patriarchal and traditional narrative with sarcasm, humor (sometimes really dark humor), and very, very little morality. So, bring your strongest ears and stomachs! ;)
Johanna Wollin is a German-Peruvian storyteller, who made storytelling her dream profession. Now she lives and works in Berlin telling stories to children and adults, with passion and a good portion of humor, in German, Spanish and English.
Mikel
Mikel is a musician that shows great interest in different musical genres, from old to new music. He grew up in Guernica. There he decided, that his Cello would be his travel companion and he moved to Zaragoza and later to Berlin.
Be it baroque style or rock, sharing the experience of music with others is a great joy for Mikel!

Being naturally funny, it took Dima many years to realise that other people might enjoy his humour as well. Since then, Dima became a regular stand-up comedian in Berlin. -
LYOSHA LYASHENKO
The most alternative comedian of the whirlwind Ukrainian scene live in concert!
Lyosha Lyashenko will perform in the ultimate international language — acrobatics (with a pinch of broken English). His new show boasts an all-time collection of traumas, tricks and twists.
He started doing comedy at the age of 16, since then he has been delighting audiences with his frequent appearances on stage step by step, working through his material for forty years now.

Pavlo is a comedy writer, screenwriter, producer, and stand-up comedian.
Born and raised in Ukraine, confused and dazed in Berlin, Pavlo is still looking for the meaning of life and the best burger joint on Earth. During the day he's a comedy writer producing funny content for blue screen. Then, when the night comes, Pavlo replaces a keyboard with a microphone and sweatpants with his best outfit and brings laughter to live audiences.
His comedy is observational, with a spark of absurdity and satire

ZOOK is an Electronica/Independent - Duo based in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Dubbed „the Belarusian Soul Princess“ KOOB first appeared on the public radar in her homeland Belarus, as the frontwoman of the first ever Belarusian soul band. After two years of a busy band-life she entered her solo-path with a remarkable debut single „Jungle“. In 2020 two things happened to KOOB - the political crisis in Belarus and the subsequent move to Berlin which both heavily influenced her music. While preserving her soulful roots, KOOB is inevitably shifting towards making songs for social change, mixing up electronic sounds, field recordings, gospel and Belarusian spirituals.
